1986 – 1988:  Committee member of United Nations Association, Southern Africa Working Group, U.K. (London);

1986 – 1989: Committee Member of Southern Africa: The Imprisoned Society (SATIS), a sub-committee of Anti-Apartheid Movement, Britain, London, 1986- May 1989. SATIS was campaigning for the release of political prisoners in Namibia and South Africa.

1987 – 1988: Founding member of Lawyers Against Apartheid (London, January 1987). Member of the Committee (January 1987 – August 1988). Also member of the Editorial Committee of Lawyers Against Apartheid Bulletin.

1988:  Member of Church Action on Namibia Exhibition Committee. This Committee was created to prepare the 12 panels feature exhibition on Namibia funded by OXFAM (U.K.).

1988: Committee Member of North London Namibia Support Group (a group affiliated to Namibia Support Committee).

1990 – 1991: Member of the Management Committee of the Legal Assistance Centre, August 1990 – January 1991.

1991 – 2000:  Member of the Management Committee: Office of the Attorney-General since April 1991 to 31st July 2000.

1991 – 1994: Member of the Technical Committee on Walvis Bay during the negotiations regarding the reintegration of Walvis Bay into the Republic of Namibia, 1991 – February 1994.

1991 – 2000 Member of the Technical Committee on the Orange River Boundary, 1991 to 31st July 2000. (Resigned following employment by NamPower).

1992 -1993: Member of the Law Faculty Sub-Committee of the Office of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Namibia which addressed the question whether or not there should be a Law Faculty. Report published on 4th April 1993.

1993: Member of Fundraising Committee for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia, Windhoek.

1993 – 1994: Member of the Management Committee of the Joint Administrative Authority for Walvis Bay, February 1993 – 28th February 1994.

1993 – 2000: Member of the Technical Committee on the Maritime Boundary between the Republic of Namibia and the Republic of Angola. Membership terminated on 31st July 2000. (Resigned following employment by NamPower).

1993 – 2000: Member of the Technical Committee on the Maritime Boundary between the Republic of Namibia and the Republic of South Africa. Membership terminated on 31st July 2000. (Resigned following employment by NamPower).

1993 -1998: Cabinet Liaison Officer (appointed by Attorney-General) from 1993 to February 1998.

1994 – 2003: Member of Namibia/South Africa Permanent Water Commission, (Appointed by Cabinet) May 1994 to 2003. (Resigned to give an opportunity to a Lawyer in the Office of the Attorney – General).

1994 – 1998: Member of the Technical Committee on Law and Order.

1996 – 2000: Member of Inter-Ministerial Technical Committee on Human Rights. (Resigned following employment by NamPower).

1996 – 2000: Member of Inter-Ministerial Committee on Diamond Security. (Resigned following employment by NamPower).

1997 – 2000: Member of the National Boundary Committee since October 1997 to 31st July 2000. (Resigned following employment by NamPower).

1997 – 2001: Member of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee, established under Section 34 of the Legal Practitioners Act, 1995 (Act No.15 of 1995), since November 1997 to present.

1998 – 2000: Member of the Task Force and Management Committee called Namibia Water Resource Management Review, 1998, established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Rural Development.

2001 – 2003: Member of Orange-Senqu River Commission. (Resigned to give a chance to a Lawyer in the Office of the Attorney General).

2008 – 2009: Member of Law Society Standing Committee on Legal Ethics.

2009 – Present: Member of Technical Committee on Continental Shelf Project of Namibia. Appointment made by Cabinet. Committee responsible for negotiating and presenting the extended claim of Namibia to the Nations Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf in terms of Article 76 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982. Report submitted in 2009,first presentation made in New York on 6th April 2010.
