APPOINTMENTS BY CABINET, HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT AND THE RIGHT HONOURABLE PRIME MINISTER OF NAMIBIA
- 1991: Member of the Government of the Republic of Namibia Negotiating Team on the Finalization of the Agreement between Namibia and South Africa on the Delimitation and/ or Demarcation of the Orange River boundary.
- 1993: Legal Advisor and Member of the Management Committee of the Joint Administration Authority for Walvis Bay: Appointment made by the Right Honourable Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia, dated February 1993. This assignment came to an end after the reintegration of Walvis Bay into Namibia on 1st March 1994.
- 1997: Chairperson of the Commission of Inquiry into the Aviation Regulatory Practices of the Directorate: Civil Aviation in the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication: Appointment made by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Namibia by Proclamation No.9 of 23rd July 1997. The terms of reference of the Commission are in Government Notice No.153 of 1997. The Report of the Commission was released by His Excellency the President to the public in December 1998.
- 2001: Chairperson of the Commission of Inquiry into the Activities, Management and Operation of TransNamib Holdings (Ltd) and Air Namibia (Pty) Ltd. Appointed by His Excellency the President on 26th February 2001.
- 2009: Appointed by Cabinet as a member of Continental Shelf Submission of Namibia, a Team responsible for preparation of the report/submission of Namibia on claim regarding the extended continental shelf in terms of Article 76 of the Law of the Sea Convention of 1982. Report submitted to United Nations Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf in 2009. Team presented Namibia’s extended claim at the said Commission in New York on 6th April 2010.
- 2009 to Present: Member of Technical Committee on Continental Shelf Project. Appointment made by Cabinet.
